Xi'an Jiaotong University Qingdao Research Institute was established in 2013. It covers an area of 210 mu, with a building area of over 150,000 square meters. It boasts five branch laboratories of national key laboratories, led by 8 academicians from Xi'an Jiaotong University. It has built two major scientific research and innovation public platforms, namely the Qingdao Advanced Manufacturing Systems Engineering Platform and the Shandong Innovation Public Service Platform, carrying out high-level talent cultivation, scientific research and development, and the transformation of scientific research achievements in Qingdao.
